How to Find Your Model & Serial Number
Common Model & Serial Number Locations
Providing us your model number prior to your service call will allow us to more efficiently diagnose the problem with your appliance.
Sometimes it may be difficult to locate your appliance model number, so please view our guide below on how to find it. Please note that the model number which may be listed on your appliance shipping box, sales receipt, manual, or energy guide sticker is usually only a partial model number.
The correct model number will be listed on a model number tag located somewhere on your appliance. An example model number tag is provided here for your reference. Please make sure to provide the exact model number which is listed on the model number tag.
Top-Load Washer
1 Under the lid on the top of the cabinet
2 Under the lid on the rear of the cabinet
3 On the back of the control panel
4 On the back of the cabinet near the water inlets
5 On the left side of the cabinet near the bottom
Front-Load Washer
1 On the front of the cabinet behind the door
2On the inside of the door
3 On the side towards the bottom
Dryer
1 On the front of the cabinet behind the door
2 On the inside of the door
3 On the side near the bottom
Cooktop
1 Under the surface unit in the left-rear corner (electric)
2 Under the surface unit in the front-right corner (electric)
3 On the rear right side or back corner under the cooktop
4 Under the rear or front right control knob
5 On the bottom of the cooktop
Range
1 On the front frame behind the door
2 On a tag on the back of the unit behind the rear control panel.
3 Under the surface unit in the front-left corner (electric)
4 Centered or on the right side under the lift-up cooktop
5 On the left leg behind storage drawer, broil drawer, or kick panel
6 On the front of the frame behind storage drawer, broil drawer, or kick panel.
Wall Oven
1 On the center of the vent trim near door
2 Inside the door on front of cabinet
Standard Vent Hood
1 On the bottom surface; you may need to remove the filter to see
Microwave
1 On the back
2 Inside wall on the left or right side
3 On the frame behind the door
4 On the inside of the door
5 On the control panel
Chest Freezer
1 On the inner lid panel after opening
2 On the top rear wall of storage compartment inside
3 On the back of the unit
Upright Freezer
1 Inside the unit on the top right or left side, near the rear
2 On the back of unit
3 Behind the door on the bottom right corner on face of unit
Dishwasher
1 On the left or right front inside edge
2 On the left or right side of the door
3 On the top of the door
4 On the frame behind the door
Refrigerator
1 Behind the crisper drawers
2 On the bottom of the door opening; you may need to remove the drawers to see it
3 Inside the unit on the ceiling
4 On the left or right inside wall of fresh food compartment
5 Behind the kickplate
6 On the sidewall
Trash Compactor
1 After removing the bucket, on the left wall of cabinet near the front
2 After pulling out bag storage compartment drawer, on the right side wall near the front
Garbage Disposal
1 On the side of the unit near the bottom
